Explaining, reflecting and interaction with the socio-scientific issues (180 min).
Preparation:
Look at the post-processing task from Step 2 in which the objective for the students is to search for and obtain information on sand extraction in order to expand the their knowledge. Students decide the format of the source in their groups. However, the students must watch, listen and/or read what corresponds to 18 pages of 2400 keystrokes.The students can search for further information online. In addition, students can take a look in Additional resources below.
Programme:
Communication in groups in which the students individually explain what they have read before the lesson (30 minutes).
In groups of 3-4 students students they start working with the task of creating a lesson plan for pupils in schools. Also, students will make a poster in relation to the theme of the lesson plan.
